Museum of Old Japanese houses (2/4) - Interior

Another series of photos from Nihon Minkaen (Japan Open-air Folk House Museum) in Kawasaki city - focused on the interior of the houses
 
dining room - where the fire burns in center is called "irori". Gray area surrounding the fire is ash, and the black one where the fire is ignited is chacoal. there's a hook hang from the ceiling. Pots can be hang with the hook to heat the meals.
